Thai yoga massage combines massage techniques, stretching, energy work all into one therapeutic session. It opens up the energy channels and gets things flowing! Most of us sit too much, eat too much, exercise too little, rest too little, relax and unwind almost never(people have forgotten how to truly relax). Thai yoga is a great place to start to bring balance back into our lives. Most people have no awareness of where tension is being held in their body and Thai yoga is great for bringing awareness to the client. Most clients just know that my neck hurts, my back hurts and want relief and that is totally understandable. But what many people don’t understand, at least initially, is that a rotated foot, or offset sacrum, scar tissue from a very old surgery could be the source of their pain in their neck, or contributing to their headaches, “TMJ” issues, etc. This kind of says it all for me – the back bone is connected to the hip bone and the hip bone is connected to the leg bone and the leg bone is connected to that ankle bone and on and on it goes. It’s all connected; and this includes the well being of our hearts and minds as well.
